Summary
Shackled Maidens – “Beautiful women shackled!” – features glamorous, artistic photography showing women beautiful enough to be fashion models restrained in a variety of historical punishment and restraining devices. High res, spectacular pics, but a disappointingly small movie selection, for $21 a month.

My Impression
First off, Shackled Maidens is strikingly different to any other site in this niche as a result of its remarkably high quality, stylish and arty content. It’s all original stuff, and the style is entirely its own.

There are about 5000 images here, updated every four days, showing truly gorgeous girls shackled in “heavy restraints”, chains, leg irons. There no sex, very little nudity and only one non-solo image set (this one with two shackled women).

The images are wonderfully shot by an obviously very skilled photographer, and have a slightly stagey look to them. There’s very little variety between the sets and the concepts get a little repetitive, but then if it aint broke…

The real downside of Shackled Maidens is that it is very much an images site. There are videos, but the collection only numbers five at the moment, and there haven’t been any updates for a couple of months. The movies average about eight minutes each, are very high quality and small enough to download pretty quickly. They’re story-light, but as stylish and beautifully shot as the images.

Extras amount to a model’s directory, a toy section and a forum for posting of new setting ideas.

Overall
Shackled Maidens is a good-looking site, with a design that suits its arty content. It could, however, definitely do with better navigation and some search facilities.

Its unique angle on the BDSM niche will make it a real gem for some people, but a serious loss for others. These girls are hot as hell, but the lack of sex, nudity, ‘punishment’ and any apparent fear of the ‘restraining devices’ in which the girls find themselves could be a little off-putting for the hardcore types amongst you.
