Summary

DVDBox is a pretty damn extensive porn video club, with 31 different categories to search from. Thirty-day membership is a reasonable $14.95, giving you unlimited access to well over 2100 films (and two new ones every day).

My Impression

Categories include the usual suspects: teen, pornstars, fetish, hardcore; as well as a massive gay collection. The pornstar section is decent, and includes all the best-known faces (and bodies): Ron Jeremy, Briana Banks; but, as with the rest of the content, it’s not exclusive and there’s a good chance you’ll have seen a lot of it already.

You can search for films by category, series, pornstar or studio; but can’t combine search criteria, and this is a bit of a pain.

DVDBox only uses WMVs, so Mac users are out of luck; and, as a video-based site, you’d expect a bit more choice than that. There are two quality options, and the higher quality of the two is real DVD-quality and looks fantastic.

Videos have to be completely downloaded before you can watch them, so for porn fans with dial-up connections, this means waiting up to twenty minutes for your fun.

Overall

DVDBox has some real problems and is no competition for sites like VideoBox (no relation, despite the names). VideoBox has more videos to choose from, higher quality playback, far better browsing features and offers five new DVDs every day. Pornaccess.com features many of the same films, but has overall a much wider selection; and Ten.com has far better search and browsing facilities.

Having said that, none of these sites have the range of niche interest vids that DVDBox offers; and there are a few really nice touches that make DVDBox a good one to be loyal to, like the option of setting your own preferences, keeping a record of your past downloads, your favourite categories, etc., and maintaining your own video library.

Overall, DVDBox is a great site, with masses of choice, regular updates and a good, clean user-friendly design, and – at its bargain price – is well worth a visit.
